  • One of the most relaxing inner city nature walks. The bird sanctuary has several pathways, ponds and of course - birds

  • The first of the Rosso cafe’s is located in Ramsay. Now they have many coffee shops around the city and it’s one of our favourite places for a cup of coffee.

  • Ramsay is located close to the intersection of the Elbow and Bow river. There are several riverside pathways for walking, running or biking.

  • Located close to the crossroads market, this late 80’s/90’s themed brewery is unique offering excellent beer, snacks and pizza.

  • Our closest brewery and a good one. Great local beer offering pizza and small bites.

  • Dogs welcomed at this brewery located just as you enter Inglewood. Eclectic environment and great local beer.

  • Casual yet classy environment on the inside with a nice outdoor space available for warmer days. Great beer and check out the A1 Burrito container inside the brewery.

  • A family favourite, particularly on taco Tuesday’s. This vegan restaurant does an incredible job of their food and has a great drink menu.

  • Located on the main road in Inglewood this cafe is an excellent place for a relaxing coffee or to work remotely. Lots of sun, great coffee, excellent baked goods with a great atmosphere.

  • This market is a local favourite. Specialty food items and other local options available here.

  • Organic grocery store within walking distance.

  • Unique drug store with great coffee, soft serve, local good and assorted items.

  • An excellent spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Has been a staple of the neighbourood for some time.

  • Local cafe with fresh coffee and donuts.

  • The Calgary Zoo is located close to Bridgeland.

  • Bridgeland is located next to the Bow river. There are several riverside pathways for walking, running or biking.

  • Great local park, dog friendly with a nice view of the city.

Margaree

  • An island favourite, this cafe has excellent food and local coffee. During peek seasons be prepared to encounter a line. Give the porridge bread a try! Less than 5 min drive from Hawthorn Eco Retreat.

  • The Cabot Trail offers scenic views throughout. Bike or drive the trail and be prepared to stop along the way to take in the views. Make a stop for a meal in Cheticamp. We highly recommend being there at sunset.
